Best isekai anime of 2025
The intro, ed, plot, characters and everything! it is such a great change of general isekai anime
In this article I will give my thoughts and review some aspects about the anime
About the visual it is really simple and also not too extravagant, the overall aesthetic is pleasing, I would give it 9/10
Many isekai anime focus too much on other elements (such as fan service and harem) and forget the importance of slice of life and other dominant sub genres. “Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess” gives you the feels to appreciate things around you and shows appreciation to them
E.g: Kenzaburo the 52 years old civil servant/office worker got reincarnated as a Villainess, he gives a positive attitude to the characters in the isekai world (I can’t really explain it fully but it is clearly show on the anime)
The plot and character development of the show, not really shown much in the anime because it is just a slice of life isekai, 12 episodes only! So the plot will appear more in some latest manga chapters. I think it is a good way, the anime clearly gives you time to explore other media (I guess) but in the end of the day the intentional message is to love and care those cherish you
The elegant cheat, and every moment in these 12 episodes is really memorable, it gives me the wholesome vibe of the whole anime. I really like it! In fact I have a few screenshots of my favourite moments.
My favourite character would definitely be Grace but I am also pretty much related to Hinako, the only daughter of Kenzaburo. Even though the family background is much alike to any family, the otaku and nerdy personality of her makes me really appreciate some similarities
Not having too much exaggeration like any other cliche anime, simple but perfect is what made the series special, the concept is also caught the eyes of some audiences that enjoy villainess mistress and isekai
